As a photographer in the Seattle area, I felt like there was always a race to be the first one to try the trendy next thing. I being a follower purchased this star filter from Hoya. Not knowing how I would use it or if I would have any use for it. I just needed to have it because " you never know". As time went on I had a bit of buyers remorse because I had purchased this item and I had ZERO use for it. However I kept in my camera bag and have used it a few times since the day of purchase. The filter itself is solid, and grabs on pretty easy. However make sure that you purchase the correct filter size as they are all a bit odd sized. You might need to buy step up rings to be able to use it. Rule of thumb that I always do is buy the filter for the biggest lens diameter I own and then just buy step up rings for the other lens so I only have to purchase one. I will be sharing a image I captured with this filter above.
