Agfa Isolette II - Medium formatThere is a saying that I have heard a few times now which states " A photographer will never have enough cameras". Initially I could not see the appeal to having multiple camera bodies. However, now that I have been a photographer for about 6 years it is starting to make sense. To share a few details about this new ( old ) camera is that it is a medium format , on one roll of 120 film it only has 12 exposures, it has a collapsable lens which is easy for carrying around and storage. It is fully mechanical which means you have to crank the shutter level, wind the film, and shutter speed. I bought this on Goodwill online store which list millions of items from all the Goodwills across the nation. It works on a bidding system like Ebay does. ANYWAY after getting into a bidding war, I was able to secure this vintage camera for a price of $21. It is a gamble as you are unsure whether the camera actually is functioning. Lucky for me, everything seems to work out just fine. I will be shooting a portrait session soon with some Ilford Pan F ( black and white film ) I will share those in a part 2.
